Tackle climate change - use wood
By using wood, your company is contributing to reducing carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere.
Every cubic metre of wood that replaces other materials reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 1,1 tonnes on average. With the 0,9 tonnes of carbon dioxide stored in the wood, every cubic metre of wood saves a total of 2 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
The longer it lasts - the better for the environment.
The 0,9 tonnes of carbon dioxide that are stored in one cubic metre of wood are prevented from entering the atmosphere during the entire life of the timber product and afterwards by re-use and recycling (for example as board or other wood fibre products). Ultimately it will be returned to the atmosphere by burning or decomposition. By using pallets and pallet collars as packaging and for transport, your company is contributing to the work of reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
